Grices is a family run company founded in Lecco in 1978 by Mr.Bruno Cesana.
We produce quality hydraulic cylinders for naval and industrial applications.

Thanks to the modular design , avantgarde production machines and productive procedures , we can offer both standard cylinders ISO/DIN/CNOMO as well as customized cylinders designed by our technical team or designs provided by the customer.

The evolution of Grices
1961 – During the sudden econimic growth seen in Italy in the sixties, Mr. Bruno Cesana and his brothers establish a company specialized in mechanical manufacturing of electric engines based in Galbiate (Lecco).
1963 - 67 – The boost in third party requests for mechanical manufacturing encourages the company to extend the means of production; in this period the company develops the production of hydraulic machinery for internal usage as Centering machine for cranckshaft , C-frame hydraulic press for deep drawing , Four-column press for for keying driveshafts.
1970 - 75 –The construction of hydraulic equipment grows, machinery on client’s commissions are produced for various applications. In this period a hydraulic press of 300 tons is specially manufactured.
1976 – The experience acquired in the hydraulic industry leads the founder , Bruno Cesana , to commission an indepth market research which highlights the development of the hydraulic sector. This is a major turning point, from this moment on, he decides to design and develop the first standard cylinders’ series on a large scale.
1978 – Grices S.r.l., specialized in hydraulic cylinders and control units production, is founded.
1980 – Grices focuses on hydraulic cylinder production, both specialized and standard CNOMO.
1986 – Introduction of the first CNC machines.
1988 – The company extends its market. Mr. Bruno Cesana’s sons , Mauro and Massimo join the administration which with their technical and administrative knowledge, bring Grices from a small manufacture to large scale industrial production.
1991 – Production of standard cylinders ISO 6020/1 – 6020/2 -6022.
1992 – Participation in the first hydraulic fair Fluidtrans Compomac in Milan and expansion on the national market.
1995 – Construction of new headquarters in Valgreghentino (Lecco) and strengthening of the production capacity, thanks to the purchase of new equipment.
1999 – Participation in the first international fair Hannover Messe and expansion into the European market.
2000 – Expansion into the international market and expansion of the factory grounds, destined to mounting, testing and warehouse storage.
2008 – Expansion of the factory grounds destined for raw material storage and saw machining.
2011 – Introduction of the EPC Online Configurator, installation of automatic welding machinary.
2012 – Installation of an automated robotic turning and milling workstation.
2013 – Installation of an automated boring and milling workstation.
2014 – New offices and upgrading of technical-commercial departments.
